Description
A very special event, Living History Event NH offers many hands-on activities for children and adults alike. Meet George Washington, go to school with Laura Ingalls Wilder, make butter, ice cream, press cider, observe bookbinding, pan for real gold, throw a pot on a wheel, assist a blacksmith. Enjoy period music, games, magician, stories, costumes, handiwork and food. Stroll through early military encampments, witness historic battles, see the cavalry, and hear the cannons roar! Our special guest in 2014 will be George Washington re-enacted by Dean Malissa, an accomplished actor and scholar who routinely portrays George Washington at the Smithsonian, the National Constitution Center, Fort Ligonier and for the National Park Service at Valley Forge and Independence National Historical Parks. Dean is the official and sole portrayer of George Washington at Mount Vernon. A very affordable and engaging event for all. Tent Dance Sat. 7:30 ? 9:30 p.m. Candlelight tour of encampments
