Description
For one night only, New Orleans Suspects join forces with Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat. Don't miss a rare and intimate show with the men who helped create our favorite soundtracks. Expect an evening filled with the music of Little Feat performed by a NOLA superband and Little Feat's own multi-instrumentalists and vocalists. As American as apple pie--and rock ?n roll itself--Feat?s music transcends boundaries, a freewheeling fusion of California rock and Dixie-inflected funk-boogie. Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett Paul Barrere plays a mean slide guitar, and sings lead and background vocals for Little Feat. He joined Little Feat for the band's third album Dixie Chicken, and the rest is history with his guitar, vocals, and songwriting becoming an important part of the Little Feat sound. Fred Tackett plays guitar, trumpet, and mandolin for Little Feat. Hailing from Arkansas, Fred Tackett worked as a side man on many Little Feat albums before becoming a full member of the band for Let It Roll. Along with his fine guitar work, Fred's mandolin and trumpet have become a featured part of the Little Feat sound. The duo first played together on the album ?Dixie Chicken" some thirty-five years ago and since then have played together or individually on numerous recording sessions for Little Feat and countless others including Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Dionne Farris, and the Wallflowers, to name a few. New Orleans Suspects New Orleans Suspects formed in summer of 2011 in the wake of the breakup of The Radiators after 34 years. The band comprises some of the best, most highly respected players in New Orleans, including: Reggie Scanlan on bass (Radiators, Professor Longhair Band); Mean Willie Green on drums (Neville Bros. current drummer since 1981); Jeff Watkins (James Brown Band, Joss Stone Band) on saxophone; Jake Eckert on guitar/vocals (current member of The Dirty Dozen Brass Band); and CR Gruver on keyboards and vocals (Polytoxic, Outformation). Fans of New Orleans? music are raving about the band?s live show!
