Description
Come aboard the Floating Classroom for a fun and informative hands-on program to learn about lake ecology and the issues threatening Lake Winnipesaukee. Your journey includes some history and geology of the lake, along with a chance to be the 'scientist', measuring water clarity, temperature, and collecting zooplankton. The tour departs the Weirs on Thursdays at 10am and 1pm for a 2 hr. cruise through Sally's Gut and around Stonedam Island, anchoring for a brief time to collect water samples and observe the ecosystem up close!
