For over 75 years! The NASWA Resort started in 1935 when Jim and Fannie Salta became interested in a spring near the popular tourist destination Weirs Beach. The spring tested as 100% pure spring water so Jim and Fannie purchased the property and started The Natural Spring Water Bottling Company. Eventually the Trade name NASWA was coined from the words Natural Spring Water and the company became known as the NASWA Spring Water Company. In 1936, The Saltas built 5 small one room cottages, the cottages became known as The NASWA Spring Water Cabins. In 1957, the name changed to the NASWA Motor Inn and later to The NASWA Resort, as it is known today. Today we have 82 rooms, suites and cottages, most with private balconies and lake views, The NASWA Restaurant & Lounge serving Contemporary Mediterranean foods, and the World Famous NAZBar Beach Bar & Grill.
