SUMMARY:Fused Glass Fancy Fall Landscape with Verne Orlosk
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Verne Orlosk at the League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Thursday\, October 16th\, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm for a Fused Glass Fancy Fall Landscape class. In this class students will learn the basics of fused glass to create their own fall landscape panel. Verne will begin with a brief lesson on the elements used in fused glass as an art form. Students will use her personal studio vitrigraph and other specialty glass to create a fall landscape scene. Vitrigraph is process where molten glass is pulled from the bottom of a supported kiln to make curved shapes\, cane and twists. A favorite place\, a photo\, and/or just color and line will inspire your art. Student's panels will be fired in a kiln off-site after the class\, and will be returned to the gallery for pickup when complete. Materials supplied by instructor: 2 types of glass pliers\, glass scoring tools\, glass nippers\, safety glasses\, cutting mats\, hair spray (for securing design) and rubbing alcohol (for cleaning glass). Pre-cut options of white or clear base glass (6x8" or 5x10")\, Glass elements - vitrigraph\, stringers\, confetti\, frit and assorted scrap cut glass will also be provided. Materials that students will need to bring: An inspirational image. Tuition is $80 per student with an additional materials fee of $15 paid by cash or check to the instructor at the time of the class. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
