SUMMARY:Molly Hatchet with CBR
DESCRIPTION:Southern rock might have had its heyday in the 70's\, but the legions of fans that come out in droves to see it are sure to tell you different. Turn the dial to any classic rock radio station\, and you're guaranteed to hear a hit from say Lynyrd Skynyrd. Skynyrd was a band that could have made Southern rock the next "alternative" mainstream had it not been for tragedy striking the band in the form of a plane crash that claimed several band member's lives. From the ashes of that tragedy rose a few bands of the same ilk. Amongst them was Florida's Molly Hatchet. \n\n\n\nFormed in 1975 by guitarist Dave Hlubek [pronounced "LOO'-bek"]\, they chalked up a string of three consecutive Platinum albums: their self-titled debut\, Flirtin' with Disaster (the follow up that went Double Platinum)\, and Beatin' The Odds. Molly Hatchet took the country by storm from their very first album. Less the twangy country influence of much Southern rock of the day\, Molly Hatchet rather infused a heavy metal feel to their styling. Dave Hlubek himself was a rocker at heart. And rock they did. The band certainly made its mark\, their name becoming definitive with an entire musical movement. \n\n\n\nThe show is sure to include Molly Hatchet classics "Whiskey Man\," "Bounty Hunter\," "Fall of the Peacemakers\," "Beatin' the Odds\," "Dreams I'll Never See\," "Flirtin' with Disaster" and more. \n\n\n\n\n\nOpening the night is CITIZENS BAND RADIO. Touring up and down the east coast in a 1957 GMC Motor Coach\, playing vintage instruments: Pedal steel\, guitars\, mandolin and drums\, harnessed together to light up the night with powerful harmonies\, homegrown tunes\, and positivity.\n\n	\n\n	Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions
