DESCRIPTION:The New Horizons of the Lakes Region Band is excited to present its 2024 Summer Season Concert Series. The Band is located in Laconia and brings music to the Lakes Region throughout the year. The members are adults that have either never experienced the pleasure of playing a musical instrument or had in years past and looking forward to playing again. This year's program includes marches\, show tunes\, patriotic selections\, a little jazz\, and old and new audience favorites. The New Horizons Band has commitment concerts in various towns: July 4th   Hesky Park\, Meredith\, 7pm (with fireworks)\, July 13th   Sanbornton Library\, Sanbornton Old Home Day\, 9:30 am\, July 16th   Laconia Rotary\, Belknap Mill Gazebo\, 6:30 pm\, Aug. 14th   Taylor Community Pavilion\, 6:30 pm and Aug. 20th - Community Center\, Weirs Beach\, 6:30 pm. Music is medicine and for all to enjoy. Check out one of the concerts and you too will find the enjoyment of the sound of a "town band" in rural New Hampshire. The Band rehearses on Tuesday evenings at the Music Clinic under the direction of retired Laconia High School Music Director\, Debbi Gibson.
