But have you ever wondered why these fish start bedding now? Or how they spent their winter? Come join us at the Squam Lakes Association on Saturday\, April 26\, from 8:30 11am\, for a roughly 2-mile kayak trip around Piper's Cove and learn about how the seasons affect fish behavior. Participants will learn when and where to find fish for their angling or viewing pleasure\, and we'll also discuss the habits of other fish species that live throughout the lake's water column.\n\n \n\nParticipants should meet at the SLA building at 8am\, then we will head down to the docks and outfit you with kayaks\, paddles\, and life vests. Please come prepared with plenty of water\, snacks\, and sunscreen\, as we'll be out on the water for a few hours. We won't be fishing on this outing\, but you're sure to gain a better understanding of how to "think like a fish" for the next time you cast a line.
