Description
The Adam Ezra Group (AEG) is constantly proving that they are more than just a band, musically, personally, and socially. Ezra has spent time farming in Canada, volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, and practicing environmental geography in South Africa...and he crams it all into the music. Ezra always challenges our perspective, often teetering between sensitive poet and ballsy rocker, as anyone at our SOLD OUT Anniversary Bash this summer can tell you- they witnessed Adam and his smokin' band raise the roof! AEG currently dedicates around 25% of their touring to benefit events in communities across the country, and almost all of their tour dates incorporate some form of "giving back." Ezra has created his own non-profit organization called RallySound, which officially received 501c3 status in the fall of 2011. It's mission: to help create socially conscious, live music events that inspire communities, grassroots activism, and civic engagement. Having toured with Rusted Root, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, The Goo Goo Dolls, Blues Traveler, Los Lobos, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dwight Yoakam, and many more, the Adam Ezra Group has graduated from the local Boston scene to the national stage with a momentum that is catapulting them towards being one of the country's most talked about bands "They are one of the few bands out right now whose music is deep and real. It was an honor to tour with them." -Michael Glabicki, Rusted Root Ron Noyes Band The #1 Band from New Hampshire according to the 2012 New England Music Awards! While attending Barton College (Wilson, NC), the pull of Bob Dylan and Ray Charles stirred something powerful and fulfilling. Staying up until the early morning hours listening to songs such as ?Drown in My Own Tears? and ?Chimes of Freedom,? he became enveloped in the art of song. Since college days, The Ron Noyes Band have recorded with John Popper of Blues Traveler and performed with 38 Special, ZZ Top, Sam Kininger, Max Creek, Country Legend George Jones, Jonny Lang, and Heart. Don't miss these rising stars when they come to The Flying Monkey...you might just discover a favorite new band!
