Business After Hours with Proctor's Lakehouse Cottages & Curt's Caterers

    On Thursday May 29^th from 4:00 to 6:00pm the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be hosted by Proctor’s Lakehouse Cottages and Curt’s Caterers.  The event will take place at Proctor’s and all local business people are invited to attend.  Proctor’s is located at 1144 Weirs Blvd. in Weirs Beach.
    Both Proctor’s and Curt’s are family businesses with the second generation of each beginning to take over.  Curt’s was founded in 1984 by Curt and Joanne Chesley.  Between the two of them, they have over 60 years of culinary experience.  Their three daughters and their nephew are integral parts of their team. They work closely with their clients to ensure that every facet of an event is carefully planned out.  They take great pride in ensuring the highest quality food, staff, and service for every event.
    Proctor’s has been around since 1947 when John and Mary Proctor bought the property.  Maureen and Fred Clausen bought Proctor’s in 1999 and have enjoyed running the business and making many upgrades to “improve it but not change it”.  They have 20 units in all comprised of 12 cottages and 8 family suites.  They have a beautiful 350’ sandy beach on the Weirs Channel.  This summer, the Clausens’ son, Patrick, and his wife, Gladys, will be taking over as general managers.  The BAH will be an opportunity for you to meet the new team!
    Proctor’s and Curt’s have a special relationship in that Curt’s catered both of Maureen and Fred’s children’s weddings.  The receptions took place at Proctor’s and both the setting and the food were fabulous!
    So, please join us on the 29^th.  Curt’s will be providing their wonderful food.  There will be liquid refreshments.  The weather should be nice and warm so there will be many boats in the channel to watch.
