Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance Announces 2025 Board of Directors!
LWA is proud to announce the election of Mark Ishkanian as Chair of its Board of Directors and the addition of Lynn Photiades as a new Board member.
Mark succeeds Peter Glick, who successfully led the organization for five years. A Moultonborough resident, Mark brings 36 years of experience in public relations and communications, working with Maine’s largest environmental group, its biggest electric utility, and various healthcare organizations. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and was honored with the Bernays Award for outstanding public relations achievement in 1998.
“For 49 years, LWA has led the effort to protect Lake Winnipesaukee against threats to its water quality, and our science-based work has never been more important,” Mark said. “The cyanobacteria blooms of the past few summers should serve as a wake-up call that much more needs to be done to protect the clear, clean waters of our lake for this and future generations.”
Lynn, also a Moultonborough resident, brings a wealth of nonprofit volunteering experience. She has supported Nashua Catholic schools, Trinity High School, CASA of NH (nine years of service, including board involvement), and the American Heart Association’s annual fundraising luncheon. Lynn also spent 27 years volunteering with her church’s senior high youth group. She is now eager to help protect the health of Lake Winnipesaukee and grow the LWA's volunteer Program.
The 2025 Board of Directors includes:
Mark Ishkanian, Chair
Peter Glick, Vice-Chair
Ann Quandt, Treasurer
Larry Greeley, Secretary
Ron Buell, Director
Lynn Photiades, Director
Congratulations to Mark on his new leadership role and to Lynn for joining the Board.
