Description
Come join the Lakes Region Conservation Corps' Meg Jacobs for a 2-mile mindful walk through Belknap Woods on April 14 from 2-4:30 PM. You will learn about mindfulness practices and go through some exercise as we walk along the loop trail. This will be a great opportunity to learn how to incorporate these practices into your life whether you’re at school, home, or work. This is meant to be a relaxing slow paced walk through the woods while we take in nature and set time aside in our day to slow down for a bit. What to Bring: Participants are welcome, but not required, to bring a sit pad, blanket, journals and writing materials if you would like to use them during our quiet moments. Participants should also bring water and any food you feel like you might need as well. Bring a positive attitude and open mind to breathe in some of nature’s air. Participants should be sure to have appropriate attire and layering for the hike. Weather can change frequently here so please bring extra layers to be prepared for those changes. Trails this time of year can also be muddy so wearing comfortable water resistant hiking shoes or boots you don't mind getting dirty is best. See website for more information and to register.
