Profile Spirits will be hosting this event in hopes of bringing together local home brewers and interested enthusiasts to participate in a simultaneous toast to home brewing and the celebration of a hobby that is loved by many in this region and beyond. "AHA Big Brew is a special day for home brewers, allowing them to unite over what they love most: Home Brewing,"said Gary Glass, director at the American Home Brewers Association. "Regardless of which state, country or even continent they are from, homebrewers share a bond that is strengthened by knowing they are all brewing together. We are excited to see the breadth of homebrewers worldwide that participate in this year"s Big Brew." AHA website John Anderson of Profile Spirits says making beer, is as easy as baking bread! and invites you to attend their event for a chance to learn more about the craft and participate in home brewing demonstrations. Profile Spirits and Demented Fermenters are welcoming anyone interested in home brewing to join the celebration from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on May 7th, 2016 at 4 Mad River Road in Campton, NH. The all grain homebrew demonstration will begin at 11:00 AM. At 1:00 PM we will raise a glass of this year"s homebrew of choice to toast National Homebrew Day. Continuing at 2:00 PM, Sarah Dreshaj of Profile Spirits will be demonstrating the techniques of making an extract homebrew. Attendees will have a chance to taste the different homebrews as well as learn the art of brewing. Home brewers are welcome to bring their own set up and brew a batch along with us. Once the beer brewing has finished, a celebration of the 500th anniversary of the German Beer Purity laws, the Reinheitsgebot, will begin. Our friends at Smoke and Barley will be there with some of their stock to help us celebrate. You are invited to bring any food or beverage you'd like and join us for a potluck paired with great beer, music and company. The event is free and open to the public, but we ask that you please register through EventBrite. If you are planning to brew with us, we ask that you let us know so we can prepare space for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact John or Sarah at 603-726-8879 or email info@profilespirits.com. More information is also posted on the Demented Fermenters Facebook page.
