Coastal Elegance with Blair Labella

The League of NH Craftsmen Gallery, Meredith is pleased to announce featured artist Blair Labella for the month of June. Currently working on her Beach Stone Series, Blair relies on hand picked stones from the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. Focusing on the relationship of color, pattern, texture, and shapes of the stones set in simple sterling or gold bezel each piece is one of a kind and has a visual simplicity that is timeless. After earning degrees from the University of VT and the Rhode Island School of Design, Blair went on to study metalsmithing at DeCordova Museum School. Her work has evolved from a line incorporating ceramic pieces, precious stones and kuem-boo to the present where she predominantly works with the natural beach stones she collects. The League of NH Craftsmen Fine Craft Gallery in Meredith will feature Coastal Elegance a collection of work by Blair LaBella June 1 through 30. The League of NH Craftsmen celebrates artists like Blair LaBella by encouraging and promoting the creation, use, and preservation of fine and contemporary hand craft.
