Description
The League of NH Craftsmen – Meredith Fine Craft Gallery will welcome, League-juried artist Ann Eldridge, to demonstrate her fascinating intaglio print making process on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Ann’s prints bring the outdoors in, with her beautiful portrayals of nature, through a multi-step process called “Intaglio”, meaning incised (cut) in Italian. The process starts most often with line etchings, from which handmade prints are created on a copper plate that is covered with a beeswax/asphaltum varnish. During her demonstration, Ann will discuss and show the many steps in this particular printmaking process. Several of Ann’s prints will be on display and available for purchase. The mission of the League of NH Craftsmen is to encourage, nurture and promote the creation, use and preservation of fine contemporary and traditional craft through the inspiration and education of artists and the broader community. All demonstrations are free and open to the public. If you have any questions, please call the Gallery at 603-279-7920 or visit us at 279 Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith.
