Description
Spring has sprung, so come out and join Lakes Region Conservation Corps members Meg and Kat on a guided hike along Dot Banks Nature Trail to Lost Lake, on April 7th from 2-4:30 PM. This is a 2.1-mile out-and-back trail near Center Sandwich, New Hampshire. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 48 min to complete. This will be a great walk for families and friends to learn about some new species in the area and enjoy the nature around them. Feel free to bring binoculars and/or download CornellLab's Merlin Bird ID application on a phone to see if we can ID some birds along the hike. If you also want to download Seek, partnered with iNaturalist, we can try and ID things we find along the way as well! What to Bring: Participants will need to bring their own water for that hike and any snacks they would like to bring as well. This is a short hike but we will be taking breaks along the way as needed. Please also wear appropriate footwear, closed toed water resistant hiking boots is best. Trails can be muddy this time of year so please keep that in mind. The weather this time of year changes frequently so you should also wear or bring with you appropriate layers of the weather conditions. Please Note: Dogs are not allowed on this trail. See website for more information and to register.
