Description
The flavor and aroma of honey can be as varied as the flowers bees collect nectar from. In this workshop, we will taste various types of honey–some local, some exotic–and discuss how to use them in various applications. We will also discuss how bees make honey, how to ensure you are buying the best possible honey, and how other honey and bee products are made such as creamed honey, comb honey, beeswax, pollen and propolis. Participants will also make their own creamed honey to take home and enjoy.
Recommended Ages: Multigenerational
Physical Demand [1] = Activity is indoors or outside with up to 1/10 of a mile walking; includes both sitting and standing
