This Week's Program: Join Lakes Region Conservation Corps members Meg and Peter for an exploratory hike up the Wentworth Trail to Mt. Israel! As part of the NH Adventure Challenge, we’ll be trying to identify natural features, learn about Leave No Trace principles, and of course do some hiking and enjoy a great view! Participation in the NH Adventure Challenge is not required to join this hike, but it is a free program and you could win some great prizes, included a voucher for two free canoe or kayak rentals from the SLA! What to Bring: Participants should be prepared for a moderately challenging hike in warm weather, and bring plenty of water, snacks, and any trekking poles or other equipment they may need. This out-and-back hike will cover 4.1 miles of trail and ascend roughly 1,750 feet. Audience: This hike is open to everyone, but children must be accompanied by an adult and prepared for a somewhat strenuous hike.
