AWARD-WINNING WINES FROM WAR-TORN UKRAINE FEATURED IN NEW HAMPSHIRE
Program serves dual purpose of supporting winery and providing aid to children and widows through
Common Man for Ukraine
ASHLAND, NH – Three Villa Tinta wines produced in the war-affected Bessarabia wine region in Ukraine are now available at 11 Common Man family restaurants in New Hampshire and New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets, with $2 of every bottle sold donated to nonprofit humanitarian aid organization Common Man for Ukraine.
Imported by Brave Selections of Rhode Island and distributed by Martignetti Companies in New Hampshire, the order of 150 cases of sustainably grown Odesa White, Odesa Red, and Odesa Black wines supports the second-generation winemaking family and employees of Villa Tinta, all while dedicating funds to Common Man for Ukraine’s food and supply convoys to villages on Ukraine’s front lines and mental health retreats for children and widows of soldiers killed in the war.
“Villa Tinta is a small, family-owned winery in Odesa, Ukraine that has been under active missile and drone attacks throughout the war,” said Gayle Corrigan of Brave Selections. “Brave Selections, which was founded specifically to support Ukrainian wine culture and the families behind it, is pleased to partner with The Common Man, NH Liquor & Wine Outlets, and Common Man for Ukraine to promote a product from Ukraine, for Ukraine.”
Corrigan noted Odesa White recently won a Platinum medal at the 2026 TEXSOM International Wine Awards, a blind-judged competition. Odesa White is the first Ukrainian wine ever to receive that recognition. In addition, Odesa Red earned a Silver medal, and Odesa Black won a Bronze medal at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine Competition.
“Despite intermittent shelling and losses of power, Villa Tinta winemakers continue crafting their wines, farming and vinifying under those conditions, shipping finished wine out of a country at war to reach American consumers,” said Corrigan.
“We are so pleased that Brave Selections took notice of our more than four years of work in providing humanitarian aid to war-torn villages in Ukraine and is donating $2 per bottle of Villa Tinta sold to Common Man for Ukraine,” said Lisa Mure, a founding member of the organization, who has participated in 15 humanitarian aid convoys. “This partnership will assist us in continuing our vital mental health retreat services to widows and children and in providing food and critical supplies to villages hardest hit by the war.”
Odesa Red, Odesa White, and Odesa Black are available to guests by the bottle at all six Common Man-named restaurants in New Hampshire; Italian Farmhouse and Foster’s Boiler Room in Plymouth; Camp, Lago, and Lakehouse Grille in Meredith; and at retail at The Common Man Company Store in Ashland. NH Liquor & Wine outlets also carry all three wines at stores across the Granite State. Brave Selections is bringing these three Odesa wines to other states as well, and will donate $2 per bottle from sales across the country.
