Makers Mill Events 2026

You can feel the season starting to change. School is starting back up, the days are getting a little shorter, and at Makers Mill we’re getting ready for a busy fall.

September brings plenty of ways to jump in. We have classes in sewing, leatherwork, metalsmithing, knitting, painting, stained glass, electronics and more, along with two new four-week Art Fundamentals series for youth, with options for homeschoolers and afterschool.

We’re also trying a few different things this fall. New free gatherings like Death Café and Build a Better Brain make room for learning and conversation beyond the workshops, while familiar favorites like Games Night, Fiber Arts Mingle and Repair Café keep bringing people together.

That mix is part of what we love about the Mill. On any given day, someone may be learning a skill for the first time, a volunteer may be sharing something they’ve known for decades, or two people who might never have met otherwise are figuring something out together.

And none of that happens by accident. Makers Mill is a nonprofit, community-powered place. It takes instructors, volunteers, members, donors, partners and plenty of people willing to pitch in to keep the doors open, the tools running, and opportunities like these available to our community.

As we head into fall, we’ll be sharing more about how you can be part of what comes next. In the meantime, if you have some time, a skill, or support to share, we’d love to have you with us. Visit makersmill.org/support to find a way to get involved.

Take a look through the September classes and events below and see what catches your eye.

Curious about what happens inside Makers Mill? Come see it for yourself. Free building tours are offered every Friday and the first Saturday of the month at 10am.
