Mid-State Health Center is now Accredited by the American College of Radiology in MRI, CT, and Ultrasound

Mid-State Health has been awarded accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and Ultrasound, as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®). This accomplishment is an exciting step forward in terms of access to care in rural areas. Members of our community can now receive high-quality imaging, at an accredited facility, without traveling long distances.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific requirements based on ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

The facility’s image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are all assessed. The findings are reported back to the facility and provide the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.

Mid-State Health is now the only wide bore accredited MRI facility in NH, and the only ACR accredited imaging center locally. Its low-cost, high-quality imaging is available at both 101 Boulder Point Drive, Plymouth NH (X-Ray and US), as well as its Diagnostic and Care Center at 28 Main Street, Plymouth (X-ray, US, MRI, and CT), offering convenient hours Monday through Friday.
