On Saturday, October 4th the NH Marathon hosted its 32nd annual event around Newfound Lake. This year was a record year with over 850 runners coming from 43 states, Washington D.C., and five different countries. The field of participants spanned from 6 to 79 years old.
The Circle Program, The Mayhew Program, and Tapply Thompson Community Center were the recipients of the proceeds.
The mission of the Circle Program is to empower, transform, and enrich girls’ lives through community, connection, camp, and mentorship.
The Mayhew Program challenges and helps at-risk New Hampshire boys to believe in themselves, work well with others, and find their best. It is the only all-boys program in the state that combines school-year mentoring and a residential summer program for at-risk boys, tuition-free, through high school graduation.
The Tapply Thompson Community Center builds a stronger community through enriching activities, recreation, and family support.
Next year’s race is slated for Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event offers something for everyone from a kids race, 10K, Half and Full Marathon. The mission of the NH Marathon is to promote a world class running event and to support area child-centered organizations. For more information, please visit www.nhmarathon.com.
