Belknap Mill to Host Free First Friday on June 6 with Art, Music & History

Laconia, NH — The Belknap Mill Museum invites the community to kick off the weekend at Free First Friday, a celebration of local art, live music, and history, on Friday, June 6 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Admission is free all day.

This exciting event will feature a variety of engaging experiences for all ages:

?? Art Exhibition: Step into the creative world of Grace Howe with her solo show UnScripted. Featuring a vibrant collection of photography, filmmaking, writing, and interactive projects, the exhibit offers a window into the artist’s dynamic portfolio and invites visitors to explore the process of creativity.

?? Live Music in Rotary Park: Enjoy a high-energy outdoor performance in Rotary Park at 6pm by the Freese Brothers Big Band. Celebrating 44 years of musical excellence, the 21-piece ensemble will perform timeless favorites from the Great American Songbook.

??? Explore Local History: Take a self-guided tour of the Belknap Mill Museum and discover its fascinating story as the oldest unaltered brick textile mill in the United States. Don’t miss the new exhibit space and bridal room on the 4th floor!

?? What to Bring: A blanket or lawn chair, your friends and family, and a love for local culture.

This event is made possible through the generous support of the Laconia Putnam Fund, Lakes Region Community College, and Lakes Media.
